Please note, however, that prospective students who are not from a European Economic Area (EEA) State must apply for admission to BOKU before the 1st of September of the Academic Year in which they wish to study! Please keep in mind that it is necessary to pre-register online in advance (until 31st of August for the first winter term or until 31st of January for the summer term).

 

The winter semester finishes at around the beginning of February, the summer semester starts at the end of February and ends at the end of June or beginning of July.

All Bachelors and Masters courses start in the winter semester. In a few, limited cases, it might make sense to start in the summer semester, and for such an entry a prospective student must apply to the Office of the Dean of Studies well in advance of the semester for permission.
